Job summary

Transdev in Arcadia, CA, seeks an Assistance Maintenance Manager to lead the day-to-day maintenance of heavy‑duty transit equipment. You will manage technicians, coordinate with vendors, and enforce safety and quality standards on a multi-shift operation in Arcadia.

The role requires a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance, leadership, and budget awareness, with a focus on safe, reliable service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in repair and maintenance of heavy-duty automotive and transit equipment.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience; strong understanding of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and schedule Maintenance Technicians.
• Prioritize maintenance and repairs based on material availability and operations schedule.
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and operating efficiently; participate in budget process.
