Job summary

Saylor Consulting Group in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to support TJPA's The Portal program. You will guide the 40-CT Civil & Tunnel Progressive Design-Build scope, coordinating across disciplines to ensure safe, constructible delivery in a dense urban setting.

Reporting to the Package Manager, you will lead technical development, review design submissions, manage interfaces with GEC and IPMT, and address complex design and constructability issues while aligning with

Qualifications

• Significant engineering leadership experience on major underground transit or heavy civil projects.
• Experience with SEM tunneling, shafts, cut‑and‑cover construction and urban environments.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and resolve complex design challenges.
• Engineering degree required; professional registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical and engineering lead for the 40-CT package, supporting the Package Manager.
• Coordinate integration across underground station architecture, tunneling, geotechnical and utilities.
• Oversee design development and review submissions for compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate with GEC and IPMT to align technical inputs and risk management.
• Resolve complex design and constructability issues and interface management.
• Ensure construction sequencing, temporary works, and cost/schedule considerations are incorporated.
