Job summary

Our client, a leading global Consultancy, is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to deliver the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP) in the US Northeast. This on-site role requires strong leadership over large shafts, excavation, SEM tunnelling, and coordination among contractors and project engineers to meet schedules and quality targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy civil construction, especially shafts, excavation and tunnelling.
• Experience with SEM tunnelling, TBMs, shotcrete lining, shaft construction preferred.
• Ability to liaise between contractors, site supervisors and project engineers.
• Proven track record enforcing safety and regulatory compliance.
• Strong skills in preparing detailed on-site reports and records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities to ensure plans and standards are met.
• Liaise between contractors, site supervisors and engineers to align objectives.
• Enforce safety protocols and monitor EH&S compliance for tunnelling work.
• Prepare detailed daily/weekly progress reports and records of inspections.
• Identify and resolve on-site engineering issues related to excavation and SEM tunnelling.
