Job summary
Dr. Sauer & Partners is seeking a Senior Tunnel Engineer (Senior SEM Engineer) to lead the SEM supervision team on site.
You will manage a team of SEM and geotechnical engineers, coordinate with the Tunnel Manager, and ensure RES processes are implemented with robust QA/QC throughout excavation and supporting activities. The role involves reporting monthly status updates, reviewing reports, and optimizing production, safety and logistics while collaborating with diverse stakeholders on major
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading and managing high-profile tunnelling projects.
- Strong analytical and structural engineering background in heavy civil construction and tunnelling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Timely production of monthly reports, RES Sheets and related documentation.
- Supervise SEM Inspectors on a 24/7 shift pattern.
- Provide construction support aligned with design for contractor’s site.
- Carry out geological and geotechnical assessments of ground and water conditions.
- Develop excavation sequences in line with design documents.
- Comply with Quality procedures and prepare status reports.
