Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a dispatcher for an on-site, full-time role in Allegan, MI. This position directs day-to-day route and trip operations, ensuring safe, on-time performance and effective communication with drivers and monitors.

The role requires coordinating schedules, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate records to support seamless service. You will work with drivers, planners, and the client to optimize routes and timeliness, with hours Monday–Friday and a fixed schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with phone calls and dispatching rides.
• Organize and route trips based on schedule and location.
• Provide directions to destinations for drivers.
• Assist drivers with scheduling issues.
• Maintain communication with transportation providers.
• Report incidents to the manager.
• Document no-shows and on-time performance.
• Communicate next-day trips and new trips to providers.
• Monitor service quality via radios and phones.
• Record departure, destination, and return times.
• Provide feedback on driver performance.
