Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a full-time Dispatcher for our Allegan, MI office. You will direct day-to-day route and trip operations, dispatch rides, optimize schedules, and support drivers with directions and issue resolution.

Role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in transportation routing and scheduling, and familiarity with transit scheduling systems. We offer competitive pay of $20/hour plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling preferred.
• 1 year experience with transit scheduling system preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Regular attendance required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills with attention to timeliness and details.
• Proficient with scheduling software, two-way radio, and data analysis.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• GPS and GIS knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day route and trip operations.
• Assist with organizing activities to ensure safe, on-time performance.
• Track sign-in/out times and ensure timely routes.
• Communicate service issues to drivers and managers.
• Support drivers with directions and problem resolution.
• Maintain effective communication with transportation providers.
• Record incidents and report performance issues.
