Job summary

RATP Dev USA is seeking an Dispatcher with transportation experience, CDL preferred, for a permanent full-time role in the Lake County area. The position offers a gross rate of $17.75 per hour and requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of general work experience, including driving and customer service.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Licensed driver for at least two (2) years.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• A Valid Driver's License.
• No criminal convictions or DWI, DUI, assault, or possession completed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with routing specialists and schedulers to optimize routes.
• Dispatch drivers using information provided by clients through the reservation department and online reservation application.
• Review and respond to all incoming calls, confirming details with the client two weeks out.
• Discuss with clients availability to review online reservations.
• Field incoming calls for same-day requests, ensure availability, review potential route changes.
• Initiate outbound calls to city connect and access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve potential pick-up problems before they impact service.
• Ensure service on missed pickups by coordinating driver movement.
• Assist in determining daily driver staffing to balance responsiveness and productivity.
