Job summary

Ratp is seeking an Entry-level Dispatcher in Raleigh, NC to be the lifeline between clients and bus operators. You will assess issues quickly to maintain on-time service and deliver solutions.

Requirements include at least 2 years of general work experience with driving and customer service, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work under time constraints. You must be 18+ and have no major criminal convictions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of general work experience, including driving and customer service.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have been a licensed driver for at least two years.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• A valid driver's license.
• No criminal convictions or DWI, DUI, assault, or possession.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with routing specialists and schedulers to optimize routes.
• Dispatch drivers using information provided by the clients through the reservation department and the online reservation application.
• Review and respond to all incoming calls, confirming details with the client; review reservation two weeks out.
• Discuss with the client availability to review online reservations.
• Field incoming calls for exact day requests, ensure availability, and examine possible route changes.
• Initiate all outbound calls to the city connect and access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve potential pick-up problems before they result in service issues.
• Ensure service on missed pick-ups by coordinating driver movement in the field.
• Assist in determining the daily level of driver staffing to provide the best mix of responsiveness and productivity.
• Other duties assigned by the operation staff.
