Job summary

PCS Transportation in Amarillo, TX seeks a full-time Dispatcher for the Transit Facility. CDL-B with passenger endorsement is required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Salary ranges hourly, with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities include supervising transit drivers, routing optimization, data entry into SHAH, and client reservations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. An Associates Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Licenses: Class B Commercial Drivers license with passenger endorsement required.
• Experience: 2+ years in customer service or as dispatcher for a public service agency; 2+ years as a supervisor; community action/non-profit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and schedules transit drivers for adequate service coverage.
• Receives and handles telephone reservation requests; verifies trip data with clients.
• Manages driver routes and schedules for efficiency and service quality.
• Performs data entry into agency systems; uses tablets and uploads daily.
• Maintains records and confidentiality; conducts file audits.
• Acts as liaison with community partners and vendors.
• Ensures compliance with laws and grant guidelines.
• Supports program leadership and strategic execution.
• Backups for walk-ins and drivers as needed.
• Attends meetings; other duties as assigned.
