Job summary

Transit Driver position at Amarillo Transit Facility in Amarillo, TX is a full-time/part-time role with a focus on safe, reliable transport for PCS clients and compliance with DOT regulations. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a Class A/B CDL with passenger endorsement; bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1+ year of passenger transport preferred.
• CDLClass A or B with passenger endorsement required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-inspection checks and report issues.
• Operate vehicle safely, obey traffic laws, DOT compliant.
• Assist passengers and secure wheelchairs as needed.
• Record and deposit fares daily; reconcile fare sheets.
• Submit paperwork to Call Center daily for billing.
• Complete vehicle and incident reports; maintain records.
• Data entry and use of agency systems and tablets.
• Maintain files and confidentiality of records.
• Communicate with Transit staff and public professionally.
• Attend meetings; support organization values.
