Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Dispatcher for the Transportation Department at the Service Center to manage radio communications, route changes, and driver coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of bus-driving experience (district experience preferred), and the ability to work under pressure, communicate clearly via radio, and use Microsoft Office; a CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience as a bus driver required.
• Experience within the district preferred.
• CDL preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide communications support for radio network.
• Verify information during bus breakdowns, emergencies, and crises.
• Assist drivers; communicate with 911 operators to relay action plans.
• Process route changes and coordinate with supervisors on adjustments.
• Support local schools with route issues and bus tracking.
• Perform administrative functions for the Transportation Department.
