Job summary

Alltown Bus Service is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to communicate route information to drivers and ensure resources for tours of duty. The role is onsite, Monday to Friday, with pay of $25-$30 per hour depending on experience.

The candidate will log calls, retrieve information, and supervise field routes to organize schedules. Responsibilities include scheduling, relaying messages, training staff, problem resolution, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• One year of transportation experience required.
• High School diploma required.
• Strong organization, leadership, communication, and scheduling skills.
• Ability to resolve issues quickly.
• Proficiency in MS Office systems.
• Knowledge of DOT and Safety regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles per schedules or urgent needs.
• Relay work orders and messages to drivers and assistants.
• Use phones or radios to contact employees.
• Support managers, dispatchers, drivers, and other staff.
• Train employees on new programs as necessary.
• Prepare daily schedules and work orders.
• Facilitate communications within assigned territories.
