IndyGo seeks a Diesel/Automotive Mechanic in Indianapolis, IN to maintain and repair all corporation vehicles. You will perform engine, transmission, electrical system work, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs as needed.

The role requires a formal trade school or associate degree in automotive/diesel/engineering, 1+ year experience, a valid Indiana driver's license with CDL within 6 months, and pass a skills assessment with at least 70%. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Formal trade school or an associate degree in automotive, diesel, or engineering preferred.
• At least 1 year of diesel/automotive/aircraft mechanic experience.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.
• Must pass a skills assessment with a score of 70% or higher.
• Internal candidates may receive preference based on performance.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and replace defective parts.
• Perform cutting, welding, fabrication, and installation of parts.
• Carry out minor repairs, adjustments, testing, and scheduled maintenance on electrical, A/C, and related components.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose issues and verify repairs.
• Complete relevant paperwork and reports.
