Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a Travel Diesel Technician/Mechanic for Indianapolis, IN. This 100% travel role offers $40.00–$46.00 per hour with weekly pay and full benefits within 30 days.

You will diagnose and repair diesel vehicles, perform preventive maintenance, and support fleet operations across assignments. The position requires 5+ years of hands-on diesel experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to travel on short notice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and compliance standards.
• Document repairs and complete work orders accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
• Travel weeks may involve mobile service center builds and other projects.
• Work with Fleet Managers and Senior Fleet Managers.
• Perform other duties as required.
