Job summary

UPS in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will maintain a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers, with propulsion systems ranging from diesel to alternative fuels.

The role requires hands-on diagnostic skills, tool use, and adherence to safety protocols, with opportunities to obtain a CDL and promote within a Fortune Global 500 company.

Qualifications

• Active automotive experience and knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and PC-based systems.
• Class A/B CDL preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Reliable and punctual with the ability to report to work as scheduled.
• Able to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Complies with PPE requirements and safety procedures.
• Works well in a diverse team environment.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements as assigned.
• Performs maintenance on a range of vehicles and trailers.
• Uses standard and power tools to diagnose and repair issues.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of the workspace.
• Adapts to varying shifts and schedules as required.
