Job summary

HNTB seeks a Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on mega transit design projects across the country. The role requires extensive experience collaborating with contractors and leading teams on significant projects, with travel to project offices and accountability for delivering on time and on budget.

The successful candidate will manage staffing, budgets, and client satisfaction while pursuing mega-project opportunities; a PE licence and DBIA/PMI credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in relevant field.
• 12 years of relevant experience including 6 years of experience managing and delivering mega and/or super mega projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects.
• Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
• Responsible for financial performance on projects; proactive management of cash, budget, schedule and project scope to ensure adherence to project goals and client satisfaction.
• Sets priorities, obtains commitments, and staffs projects according to the project Work Plan.
• Collaborates with office and division leadership to staff projects and solve challenges while meeting business objectives.
• Leads pursuits of mega projects; develops long-term strategies with pursuit champions and prepares proposals and presentations.
