Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites highly motivated students to join our Ridership and Mobility Analysis team as summer interns. The program offers hands-on exposure to data analysis, visualization, and reporting across multiple transit disciplines.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent or pursuing a degree in an aligned field.
Must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8; favorable performance in prior summer internships (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Compile, review and analyze data and verify inputs for reports.
Prepare management, operations, technical and administrative reports.
Create dashboards, presentations and data visualizations.
Review reports to identify issues and propose solutions under supervision.
Attend trainings and departmental meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
Participate in and/or lead departmental meetings and working sessions.
