Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites college and graduate students to a summer internship with the Ridership and Mobility Analysis team. You will research, analyze data, and build dashboards to inform ridership, regional mobility, and customer experience projects.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent; enrolled in a college/university for a relevant degree.
• Intern's major aligned with the position's academic and functional requirements.
• Must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Favorable prior performance if internship is progressive across summers.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review and analyze data; input and verify data for reports.
• Research data for management and operations reports; use various data sources.
• Produce reports, presentations and data visuals to support assigned department.
• Review reports to identify issues and propose solutions as directed.
• Attend trainings and department meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
• Participate in and/or lead departmental meetings and work sessions.
