Job summary

WMATA invites students for a summer internship to gain hands-on experience across departments including Bus/Rail operations, safety, IT, and planning. Assignments are temporary, up to thirteen weeks, with rotation based on major and department needs.

Interns work under supervision of executives or designees. Interns will participate in data analysis, report preparation, and department meetings, gaining exposure to transit operations and organizational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, reviews and analyzes data.
• Operates a personal computer to verify, input and correct data for reports.
• Produces work products such as presentations and reports.
• Attends training sessions and departmental meetings.
