Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) offers a summer internship in its Ridership and Mobility Analysis team. The program provides hands-on, practical transit industry work experience across departments such as operations, IT, urban planning, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be attending an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in a field relevant to the internship.
• Must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 is required.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review and analyze data; input and verify data for reports.
• Assist in preparing management, operations, technical and administrative reports.
• Produce presentations, reports, and data visualizations for assigned department.
• Review reports and suggest improvements based on standard criteria.
• Participate in training sessions and attend department meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
• Lead or participate in departmental meetings and work sessions.
