Job summary

New York City Department of Transportation seeks a Data Analyst within the Transit Development unit to support the Transit Signal Priority program. You will assist with data exploration, analyze corridor performance, and coordinate with MTA for data-driven transit priority initiatives.

The role requires strong quantitative analysis, written and verbal communication, and familiarity with CAD, Synchro, or GIS. Remote work up to two days per week is eligible under the city program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to planning, data analysis, or public transit; or equivalent experience as described in the minimum qualifications.
  • Ability to perform quantitative analysis on transit data and communicate results clearly.
  • Experience with CAD, Synchro, and/or GIS is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data analysis to support the Transit Signal Priority program and related transit priority work.
  • Collaborate with internal and external staff to monitor and evaluate corridor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support Real Time Passenger Information, automated enforcement, bus shelters/stops analyses, and prioritization projects.
