Job summary

Department of Transportation in New York City seeks a Data Analyst to support the Transit Signal Priority program within the Transit Development unit. The role focuses on data exploration, monitoring corridors, and coordinating with MTA and TO on priority initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative analysis skills, experience with transit data, and the ability to deliver clear presentations. CAD/Synchro/GIS experience is desirable for project support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in relevant field as listed in minimum qualifications.
• Experience performing technical roadway transportation and traffic studies is preferred.
• Ability to work with data-driven assignments and transit priority analyses.
• Qualified candidates should meet the residency and civil service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external staff to develop future priority corridors for TSP.
• Monitor and evaluate performance of existing corridors and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with data exploration and analysis for Real Time Passenger Information and related projects.
• Coordinate data analytics with MTA and other groups to support transit priority initiatives.
