Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-disciplinary model coordination for transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate multidisciplinary designs into a federated, clash-checked deliverable across architecture, structures, roadway design, and MEP.

The role requires establishing BIM standards, mentoring staff, and ensuring interoperability across Autodesk tools. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in CADD drafting or intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver a federated, clash-checked model.
• Model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks; lead resolution of conflicts.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentor and guide production staff across offices to build institutional capability.
• Act as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to ensure coordination between design team.
• Crosscheck drawings for consistency with firm standards and QC.
