Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years driving experience; must be at least 21 years old with a good driving record.
• Valid Driver’s License with ability to obtain CDL with passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and maintain a current DOT medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provides reliable, safe, and consistent public transportation service.
• Reports for work by start time and fits to perform job duties.
• Keeps licenses and certifications current while driving.
• Operates buses and other vehicles in compliance with regulations.
• Operates wheelchair lifts, securement devices, bike racks and safety equipment.
• Makes quick, safe decisions and practices defensive driving.
• Handles emergencies and maintains professional conduct.
• Performs vehicle inspections and reports defects.
• Communicates policies, routes, and schedules to passengers.
