Job summary

The City of Loveland is seeking a Bus Operator for COLT in Loveland, Colorado. You will transport residents—seniors, people with disabilities and students—in a safety‑minded, courteous manner, with a 35‑hour per week benefited schedule.

A CDL with passenger endorsement is required, and CPR/First Aid certification is expected within six months. Essential duties include pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, safe operation of transit vehicles, assisting passengers in boarding, and reporting vehicle

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL with P passenger endorsement required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable within six months.
• Experience with paratransit or disabled passengers desirable.
• Ability to operate transit vehicles and wheelchair lifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation for residents including seniors and persons with disabilities.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document results.
• Ensure passenger safety and deliver courteous, professional service to diverse riders.
• Communicate any vehicle deficiencies to the Operations Supervisor.
• May be assigned to bus cleaning rotation and other duties as needed.
