Job summary

The City of Fort Collins is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician (Transfort) to keep our buses and fleet in safe, reliable condition. You’ll work at the Transfort Maintenance Facility with a team of technicians, fuelers, and drivers in a modern shop.

Position offers a compressed work week with shift differential, training opportunities, and a pathway to CDL if needed. Candidates must have basic repair skills and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automobile and/or truck repair and service.
• Ownership of basic vehicle repair tools or access to tools.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver’s License within months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains heavy and light duty equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance and major repairs.
• Prepares new vehicles for service, including orders and installations.
• Provides on-site and after-hours service and customer support.
• Assists with bid specifications and job estimates.
