Metro Transit, an operating division of the Metropolitan Council, is hiring Full-Time Bus Operators. Starting at $29.70/hour with increases per ATU contract, benefits after 30 days, and signing bonuses for CDL holders or other licensed drivers.

Work schedule includes weekends, holidays, and shifts with differential pay. Training is fully paid, about 6 weeks, with accommodations for license endorsement upgrades.

Qualifications

• 18 months of verifiable work experience in the past seven years.
• Ability to understand, communicate in English, and write reports.
• Valid driver's license (Class A, B, C or D) with appropriate endorsements or ability to obtain them.
• No major driving violations in the past three years per policy.

Responsabilités

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting passengers and answering fare questions.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and safely operate the bus on scheduled routes.
• Ensure safe boarding and timely transportation of riders, including minors and vulnerable individuals.
• Complete forms and reports such as operating and incident reports.
• Follow ADA requirements by calling out street names while driving.
