Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver\'s license with satisfactory driving record.
• CDL Permit on hire (Class B).
• CDL with P and air brake endorsements or ability to obtain within 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical work on transit vehicles and equipment, including diagnosis, repair, and rebuilding of major components.
• Disassemble, rebuild, re-assemble, and test engines, transmissions, and components.
• Drive city buses and trucks as required by the department.
• Operate with minimal supervision and adhere to safety standards per USDOT/FTA policies.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Transit Division.
