Job summary

GoTriangle is seeking a Mechanic II to diagnose and repair a full range of vehicles, from buses to vans. You will tackle complex diagnostics, perform repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems, and fabricate parts as needed. The role requires CDL with passenger endorsement and adherence to safety and DOT regulations.

Primary duties include road calls, evaluating parts, and documenting service records while maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge in a busy garage setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Three years total related experience with journey mechanic experience.
• Must have a good driving record and obtain a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Must meet DOT physical requirements and maintain a valid DOT card.
• Certified in servicing motor vehicle A/C per Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990.
• Certified in Safety and Emission Inspections per NC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical bus and van problems in mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
• Repairs issues on vehicles including air brakes, transmissions, engines, and electronic controls.
• Fabricates parts from metal and welds as needed.
• Determines whether to rebuild or order parts based on cost and history.
• Responds to road calls and performs onsite repairs if possible.
• Keeps vehicle service records and adheres to safety rules and regulations.
