Job summary

TransWest seeks an experienced vehicle technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on motorcoaches, shuttles, and fleet vehicles. You will diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems to keep equipment safe and reliable.

The role requires hands-on work, accurate record-keeping, and use of OEM software like Cummins INSITE, ALLDATA, and Ford IDS. A DOT cert and valid CDL are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience maintaining and repairing vehicles or completion of a diesel/heavy-duty program.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT certification and pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Maintain maintenance records and parts inventory with accurate documentation.
• Utilize OEM diagnostic software and repair manuals to troubleshoot issues.
• Support installation and maintenance of onboard vehicle technology and telematics.
