Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to support transit and multimodal projects from any US office. You will lead cross-discipline coordination, run clash detection in Navisworks, and enforce BIM standards across offices and teams.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, developing BIM Execution Plans, interfacing with clients and subconsultants, and ensuring model integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — runs clash detection in Navisworks and resolves conflicts.
• Standards & governance — establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentors production staff and provides design sketches.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverables and data handoff standards.
• Develops BIM Execution Plans and advises on model scope and LOE.
• Performs other duties as required.
