Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking a Transformer Technician Supervisor to manage field teams in transformer assembly, testing, and service for critical energy infrastructure projects across the U.S. You will oversee all aspects of installation and maintenance while mentoring junior technicians and upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 8+ years in transformer oil work or related fields, travel up to 80%, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of transformer oil work, testing, assembly, or service experience.
• Experience managing large projects and multiple crews.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.

Responsibilities

• Supervise transformer assembly, including radiators, bushings, conservators, and accessories.
• Lead degassing, pressure/vacuum testing, and oil sampling procedures.
• Manage re-gasketing, O-ring fabrication, and installation.
• Oversee teardown and prep of damaged units for transport or disposal.
• Troubleshoot transformer control wiring and ensure safety and reliability.
• Conduct advanced transformer testing and document results with accuracy.
