Qualifications

Base pay range

$28.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Pay: $28-32/hour, depending on experience

PART TIME: 4PM - 9PM (MONDAY-FRIDAY)

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring safe, timely, and professional operation of the transfer station daily.
• Direct incoming trucks and vehicles to appropriate unloading areas.
• Open and close the facility according to scheduled hours.
• Oversee truck schedules and trailer switching.
• Operate site equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas and adhere to cleaning schedules.
• Ensure safety rules are followed by customers and staff.
• Oversee facility housekeeping and maintenance.
• Meet loading schedules and ensure timely driver loads.
• Maintain daily reports and inspection documentation.
• Manage the transfer station in the absence of management.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience/training.
• SWANA Transfer Worker Certification desired within six months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work in loud conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Stand, walk, and operate in outdoor environments frequently.
• Work in loud, sometimes hazardous conditions.
