Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing seeks a press operator at Plant 4 in Holland, MI, to set up, run and monitor up to 2,000 Ton transfer presses, stamping parts per JES and quality standards.

You will verify steel coils, adjust dies, load/unload, and perform first piece inspections, keeping safety and housekeeping at the forefront. Teamwork, cross-training across work centers, and ERP documentation with Plex will be routine parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and interpret job element sheets (JES).
• Ability to use a variety of gages (GO/NO-GO) and PC/keyboard/mouse skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust stamping press per die set-up sheet.
• Stamp product to meet JES and quality standards.
• Load/unload and move materials up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Perform on-line inspections and record process data in Plex ERP.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the work area.
