Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a Transfer Center RN to serve as the frontline resource for families and providers seeking information about transfer services. The role requires strong communication, clinical knowledge, and the ability to direct patients to appropriate resources.

Qualifications

• RN license required; 2–3 years ER experience required.
• PRN position with variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage transfer requests and direct admissions; coordinate with physicians.
• Collect intake data from ED, clinic, Phoenix Children's, and referring facilities.
• Coordinate MD-to-MD acceptance calls and document communications.
• Collaborate with admitting, EVS, case management to ensure timely admissions.
• Triage and prioritize patient information and flow across facilities.
• Promote Family Centered Care and customer service; maintain positive communication with customers.
• Assist in process improvement and perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
