Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a Transfer Center RN for the front line of our hospital. You will be the voice, eyes and ears of our families and providers seeking information about the services Phoenix Children's can offer.

This PRN role requires 2–3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience and an active RN license. You will coordinate admissions and bed placement, work with admitting, EVS, and case management to streamline patient flow and ensure a positive family experience.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 2–3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages transfer requests and direct admissions, coordinating provider communication.
• Collects intake data from ED, physician offices, and clinics for patient placement.
• Coordinates MD-to-MD acceptance calls and documents them with a focus on quality and service.
• Collaborates with Admitting, EVS, and Case Management to ensure timely admissions.
• Triages and prioritizes patient information and acuity to optimize throughput.
