Job summary

HCA HealthOne in Denver is seeking a Transfer Center RN Coordinator to manage patient transfers across facilities, ensuring timely bed placement and safe patient movement. You will coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and physicians, using established protocols to optimize throughput and patient outcomes.

The role requires nursing leadership, clinical judgment, and strong communication with multi-disciplinary teams, while adhering to EMTALA and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in states where the division facilities are located.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred).
• Knowledge of hospital operations and patient care practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transfer center functions to place patients based on clinical needs and bed capacity.
• Coordinate emergent, urgent, and elective transfers from multiple sources via centralized calls.
• Facilitate patient throughput and follow-up with all participants of the transfer.
• Maintain data in patient records and center workflow systems.
• Communicate with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff about transfers and bed placement.
