Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Coordinator Nights to influence patient care through collaboration with managers, transfer centers, and hospital teams. You will coordinate patient transfers across HCA facilities, match clinical needs to bed capacity, and support safe, efficient throughput.

Strong nursing experience, multitasking, and effective communication are essential. The role emphasizes regulatory knowledge, problem solving, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred).
• RN License in the states where the HCA facilities for that Division are located – multi-state license required if Transfer Center covers more than a single state.

Responsibilities

• Performs transfer center functions, coordinating centralized patient placement with bed capacity and service profiles.
• Coordinates transfer of emergent, urgent and elective patients to final destination facilities via a single call.
• Facilitates patient throughput with focus on quality and efficiency, providing follow-up to all participants.
• Communicates professionally with referring facilities and receiving hospitals regarding all transfers and bed placements.
• Uses critical thinking to assess situations and facilitate patient flow through the continuum of care.
• Tracks barriers to patient intake flow and develops action plans to improve processes.
