HCA Healthcare is seeking a Transfer Center RN Coordinator for Medical City Plano to manage patient transfers, bed placement, and collaboration with referring facilities. The role emphasizes clinical decision making, teamwork, and service excellence across departments.

The successful candidate will coordinate emergent and elective transfers, ensure accurate data, and support smooth patient movement while maintaining regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred).
• RN License in the states where the facilities are located; multi-state license may be required.
• Knowledge of hospital operations and patient care practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral, written, and electronic formats.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Performs transfer center functions including centralized patient placement.
• Coordinates transfer of emergent, urgent and elective patients to final destination facilities.
• Facilitates patient throughput with focus on quality and efficiency.
• Collaborates with leadership to identify barriers to throughput and patient safety.
• Maintains accurate data in patient records and center workflow systems.
• Demonstrates proficiency in navigating technology platforms used in transfers.
