Job summary

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is seeking a Transfer Center RN (PRN) to serve as the frontline resource for families and providers seeking information about services. You will coordinate admissions and transfers, using broad hospital knowledge and strong communication to direct patients and physicians to the right resources.

• Clear communication skills, ability to multitask and transcribe data while speaking with callers.

Responsibilities

• Manages transfer and direct admission requests; coordinates provider communication.
• Collects intake data from ED, physician offices, clinics and referring facilities.
• Coordinates MD-to-MD acceptance calls and documents them with focus on quality and customer service.
• Collaborates with Patient Placement to determine benefits/eligibility.
• Manages ED referrals and communicates with ED; prioritizes patient information and acuity.
