Job summary

Phoenix Children’s is seeking a Transfer Center RN to be the front line for families and providers seeking information about services. The role involves in-depth hospital knowledge, education for callers, and directing patients to the right resources.

Requirements include 2–3 years ER nursing experience and an active RN license. Both full-time and part-time positions with day and night shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
• RN license required.
• New graduate RN opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate direct admissions and transfers for patients.
• Collect intake data from ED, physician offices and clinics.
• Coordinate MD-to-MD acceptance calls and document them.
• Collaborate with admitting, EVS and case management for timely admissions.
• Triage and prioritize patient information to aid throughput.
