Position Summary

As appropriate, position directs students to other university staff to aid with admissions processes. The Transfer and Graduate Admissions Counselor reports to the Director of Admissions.

UIW Mission

The Transfer and Graduate Admissions Counselor is responsible for engaging in recruitment activities and providing direct support to prospective students with applications and application records up to initial university enrollment. As appropriate, position directs students to other university staff to aid with admissions processes. The Transfer and Graduate Admissions Counselor reports to the Director of Admissions.

Note

Note that this position involves 50% of traveling, primarily locally for admissions recruitment.

  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

Required Work Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of relevant professional experience in admissions or higher education recruitment.

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years of previous recruitment experience in higher education or in marketing.

Required Certifications, Licenses Or Registrations
  • Valid driver license with "Real ID" designation, as required for air travel, or ability to obtain by first day of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.
Work Hours

Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm; some evenings and weekends may be required to meet departmental needs, especially during peak periods.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 20lbs of recruiting materials.
  • Ability to move about and actively engage with others during event preparation, execution of event, and post event activities.
  • Ability to travel extensively primarily by vehicle.
