The Center serves as a resource to transfer and adult students, with a particular emphasis on prospective and newly enrolled students, as well as a resource to faculty and staff.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Transfer Advisor supports prospective and enrolled students with prior college credit, including transfer and adult learners, by providing academic advising and transition support. The position will primarily provide pre-transfer advising to students participating in UNC Charlotte's 49erNext program while also supporting other transfer and adult students based on Center priorities and student needs.
The advisor helps students understand how prior coursework may apply to degree requirements, explore academic options, and identify coursework that supports preparation for their intended major and timely progression to graduation.
