Job summary

Texas Lutheran University seeks an energetic Assistant Director for Transfer Admissions to lead transfer recruitment and enrollment for fall and spring terms. You will develop strategies and manage relationships with community colleges, advisors, students, and campus partners.

Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, you will guide students from inquiry through enrollment, advise on programs and scholarships, and coordinate campus events to achieve enrollment goals.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of higher education or college admissions experience; transfer admissions experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and a student-first philosophy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and partners.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; align with TLU mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to meet transfer enrollment goals.
• Lead transfer recruitment and enrollment outcomes for fall and spring terms.
• Build and maintain relationships with community colleges, advisors, and transfer partners.
• Advise students and families on programs, admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and transferability.
• Recruit students through visits, fairs, conferences, and external events.
• Collaborate with campus partners to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.
• Deliver engaging presentations to prospective transfer students.
• Coordinate campus visits, interviews, and faculty review for nursing program partnerships.
• Monitor enrollment trends and propose market-strengthening strategies.
