Under the supervision of the Director of Health Information Management/Medical Records, the Transcription Coordinator transcribes medical data from recorded dictation. This position audits, sorts, and files copies of transcribed reports. The Transcription Coordinator may perform other clerical duties to include chart assembly and analysis, indexing, correspondence, filing, stamping outgoing mail, physician notification of delinquent records, and compilation of statistics.
