The Training Specialist, under the leadership of the Director of Training & Communications, helps design, create, and deliver learning materials and programs. They play a key role in offering practical, cost-effective training support to ActionLink's employees, clients, and departments. The Specialist will help manage our learning community platform, support employee growth and development initiatives, boost brand visibility through strategic communication channels, and create digital training content to help the organization meet specific business and operational objectives.
What We Offer:
Compensation ranges from $23.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience and geographic location
This is a fully remote, one-year temporary position
What You'll be Doing
Training Development and Delivery:
Design and develop engaging training materials including e-learnings, presentations, job aids, and other resources
Create interactive course content with voiceover, animation, or video; perform quality checks and updates as needed
Assign training, manage course protocols (curricula, learning plans, competencies) and troubleshoot employee issues such as password resets
Collaboration and Strategy:
Partner with managers and SMEs to assess training needs, define objectives, and tailor content to target audiences
Brainstorm effective learning activities and methodologies to meet learning goals
Participate in training sessions to grow skills in adult learning, design, and technology
Platform and Community Management:
Manage dashboards, hierarchy, and engagement within the learning community platform
Moderate discussions, drive participation, and ensure necessary equipment is available in coordination with IT
Reporting and Communication:
Generate training reports (e.g., completions, certifications)
Assist in developing communication strategies that boost employee awareness and elevate the ActionLink brand
The Talent we are Seeking:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years working in training, education, or related field
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Retail experience is a plus
Technical, Instructional, and Project Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Experience with e-learning tools (Articulate, Blackboard, Captivate), Adobe Creative Cloud, video/narration, graphic design, mobile deployment, and social media
Knowledge of instructional design principles (e.g., Addie) and rapid e-learning development
Strong project management and communication skills (written and verbal)
Work Style:
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
