Job summary

Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a Training Specialist II to assist in planning and implementing seminars and workshops, and to develop training programs in various treatment and service modalities.

You will prepare lesson plans, facilitate in-person and virtual classes, perform needs analyses, maintain LMS back-up, create training materials, and participate in staff curricula development, with attention to adult learning theory and instructional design.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and delivering training seminars and workshops.
• Ability to conduct needs assessments and analyses to inform curricula.
• Proficient in managing Learning Management System support and back-up.
• Strong instructional design and adult learning theory Knowledge.
• Proficient with MS Office and virtual meeting tools.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and implementing seminars and workshops.
• Prepares lesson plans, program guides and evaluation tools.
• Conducts in-person and virtual classroom instruction and training sessions.
• Performs needs assessments, gap analyses, surveys and competency assessments.
• Acts as back-up for LMS enrollment and troubleshooting.
• Creates training materials and communicates with participants.
• Participates in staff conferences and curricula development.
• Performs other related duties.
