Department SummaryThe LADCFS + UCLA Academy of Workforce Excellence operates under a Title IV-E training contract between UCLA and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (LADCFS). Position SummaryThe Training & Operations Coordinator has a vital role in the comprehensive coordination and execution of training programs for the LA County Department of Children and Family Services (LADCFS) + UCLA Academy of Workforce Excellence (AWE). Supervised by the Director of Facilities and Operations, the Training & Operations Coordinator is in close communications with DCFS Managers, UCLA Managers, Vendors, Tech Team, Admin Team and other stakeholders to coordinate training & facility logistics, and operational support for in-person and virtual training sessions. The various locations include but not limited to; Downtown Los Angeles, Palmdale, Norwalk and other area of Los Angeles County.
The incumbent ensures the smooth execution of operational workforce development activities including but not limited to the internship program initiative, California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) initiatives, and data management across various systems. They will also play a key supporting role in the roll out of other large-scale training initiatives as needed. Additionally, this role supports the scheduling and facilitation of in-service and specialized off-site trainings and works alongside the Director of Facilities and Operations supporting the Training Director, Executive Director, IT Manager, Admin Team, Trainers and LADCFS Leadership Staff. The Training & Operations Coordinator maintains timely submissions of all training records, and ensures continous quality improvements with compliance reporting. A critical aspect of this role is the ability to develop strong working relationships while prioritizing ongoing communications with all levels of leadership and staff in various settings, including meetings, email correspondence, and on-site meetings. The incumbent plays a vital role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring a seamless training experience for LADCFS + UCLA Academy of Workforce Excellence.

QualificationsDemonstrated ability to use the LMS software programs: Cornerstone, Skill in operating a virtual training platform (Zoom); Word processor using Microsoft software suite, including Word, Excel and Power-Point. (Required)Must be able to productively utilize the aforementioned systems, understanding conceptually the hierarchical organization within each software system for maximum efficiency, and the interactive capabilities and features between software systems and the Internet-based website (Required)Demonstrated ability to produce, correspondence, and other written materials using excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to proofread and edit copy. (Required)Ability to organize and carry out complex, multi-faceted training modules in a coherent and efficient fashion. In addition, incumbent should have the ability to organize materials, schedules, and database systems to meet various objectives and deadlines. (Required)Demonstrated ability to work independently in a satellite location and be adept at managing multiple and frequently changing priorities. (Required)Ability to interact effectively with Center staff, trainers, other Consortium staff and all levels of DCFS staff by telephone, email, or in person to accurately perform tasks and responsibilities.
