Job summary

City and County of San Francisco is seeking an experienced Training Officer within the Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) Unit of the Human Services Agency (HSA) to design, deliver, and evaluate CalFresh and Medi-Cal training programs.

The 12-month assignment supports SFBN Induction training and collaboration with SF Benefits Net and Alignment and Guidance staff to build capacity for addressing vacancies and workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• Two years of verifiable experience designing, organizing, and conducting employee training programs.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Determining training needs, developing and delivering course content, evaluating training effectiveness, and maintaining curriculum to align with current laws and regulations.
• Facilitating training across modalities by delivering presentations and mentoring trainees.
• Maintaining and improving training materials through ongoing review and collaboration.
• Evaluating trainee progress by developing assessments and conducting check-ins.
• Overseeing daily classroom operations and coordinating with program staff on updates and logistics.
• Assessing learning outcomes, gathering feedback, and preparing training reports.
• Assessing organizational learning needs through assessments, evaluations, and interviews.
• Providing supervision and support to program staff by coaching and assisting with admin tasks.
