Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Training Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs for hourly manufacturing employees. You will ensure workers are trained, qualified, and certified to meet production, quality, and safety standards.

Collaboration with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Safety, and Production leadership will establish training strategies, qualification programs, and career progression for skilled trades, driving workforce

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 6 years in manufacturing operations, workforce development, technical training, or related field.
  • Experience leading training programs within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of welding, tubing, electrical, insulation, or other industrial processes.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience developing curricula, qualification standards, and certification programs.
  • Ability to influence leaders and employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

The Training Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs for hourly manufacturing employees, with a primary focus on Welders, Tubers, Electricians, and Insulators. This role ensures employees are trained, qualified, and certified to safely and effectively perform their jobs while meeting production, quality, and safety standards.
The Training Manager partners with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Safety, and Production leadership to establish training strategies, maintain skill qualification programs, and develop career progression pathways for skilled trades employees. The role oversees training governance, monitors workforce competency, manages training records and certifications, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workforce capability, productivity, quality, and employee engagement.

Hiring Salary Range

$85,200.00 - $127,800.00 USD Annual (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
